On The Road To The Sights And Sounds Of NOLA
/The clear, blue sky gave way to brilliant sunlight cast over the French Quarter, making it a perfect day to walk through historic Jackson Square, capturing images along the way.
We had to start our day the NOLA way, with a tasty beignet! Here's where the beauty of social media really kicks in - as suggested by Facebook fans, rather than stand in a LONG line at Cafe Du Monde, we went across the street to New Orleans Famous Beignets & Coffee, which were just as delicious!
Taking another cue from Facebook fans, we took the short walk to Mr. B's Bistro for their famous BBQ shrimp - a messy, but delicious experience!
The biggest draw for me continues to be the music, pure and simple. From blues to jazz and everything in between, it draws you in, becoming immersed in the rhythms of this magical city.
